I've just found this site which seems to be a haven for people with DVTs. The members seem to be very knowledgeable and there's a lot of information about diagnosis, prevention and recovery.
Having a deep knowledge of your condition whether it's a deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, infarction, heart attack (clot in the heart) or stroke (clot in your brain) is an important step to making a decent recovery. When you are sick with a blood clot of anytime it is difficult to reach out and find people in the same situation as yourself, mostly because you're bed bound or your mobility is restricted. This is where the internet comes in! There are a few support groups out there full of knowledgeable people who will be able to respond to your questions whether it's 2am or dinner time.
